2015 Warden’s Year-End Remarks

It has been a busy year! Did you know it is the 122nd Anniversary of the founding of the Parish of St. Alban’s, Richmond? Members of our congregation and community have been coming together to worship God in this place for more than a century!

Parishioners and neighbours continue to this day to pray and serve at St. Alban’s Anglican Church through a wide variety of pastoral and educational ministries, outreach programs and special events. Hundreds of people are welcomed through our doors every month to volunteer, meet friends, enjoy a hot meal, light a candle, and much more.

As we are asked in the coming days to consider others, and to give thanks once again for the incarnation of God in Jesus Christ, we urge you to be generous to our beloved parish home. The present and future of St. Alban’s is our responsibility. Every single person’s offering makes a difference.

We are short in revenue projections of the 2015 Parish Ministry Fund (Budget) approved by the Vestry in February. It is a big challenge to close this gap and bring 2015 to a successful close, yet we are confident we can do it with generosity and joy. Please consider donating generously to St. Alban’s Church this Christmas season.

Praying for Margaret

Rev Margaret Cornish

The Reverend Margaret Cornish resigned on September 30th, 2015,  after 11 years as our rector at St Albans.  Margaret had been on medical leave for a number of months prior to her resignation. Margaret leaves as her legacy our outreach ministries that help individuals struggling with life or looking for help to get back on their feet and for that we will always be grateful  to Margaret. We continue to keep Reverend  Margaret in our prayers and with God’s help she will find her new mission in life.
