A Garden of Love and Community
Behind our church building, a small garden quietly tells a story of love, faith, and shared care. Over the years, many hands have tended this space — watering, pruning, planting, and nurturing it into the peaceful place it is today.
One of those faithful gardeners is G, a parishioner who loves the earth and volunteers week by week to care for the garden. G often brings children and grandchildren along, passing on not only gardening skills but also the deeper lesson of tending community with patience and joy. Together, they help the garden flourish as a living expression of grace.
This is one of the beautiful stories of our small parish, St. Alban’s Anglican Church, Richmond. Our parishioners love this place deeply. They offer their gifts — gardening, music, hospitality, prayer, quiet acts of service — to make the church more welcoming for all who come.
And now, we extend that same welcome outward.
We invite our neighbours and friends in the community to join us — to experience and share this love from God, to find belonging, and to walk with us in a place where simple acts of care become signs of hope.
Every blossom in the garden reminds us that when love is shared, beauty grows.
